About Washington Civil Rights Association

Defend what’s yours:

  • Your life
  • Your loved ones
  • Your rights

The Washington Civil Rights Association is a grassroots organization created to help people in Washington protect their most precious of civil rights: their right to live.

Everyone has a basic human right to live. And we have a right and even an expectation to defend that right to live from those who would choose to maliciously jeopardize our life.

We are passionate about helping people protect this right to defend our loved ones, and our own lives if necessary.

We are purposefully and decidedly a-political. We’re not represented by a party, nor do we necessarily align with any political party.

We do, however, care deeply and passionately about civil rights and especially our 2nd Amendment to the Constitution as enumerated in the Bill of Rights:

“A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

And even more important, the Washington state constitution, Article 1, Section 24: RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS. The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the state, shall not be impaired….

We give the under-represented firearms owners a voice in Olympia.

We educate firearms owners so they understand the political process—and the machinations designed to deprive them of their basic human rights.

We give them the tools they need to take specific and detailed action to ensure their elected officials adequately and properly represent them—and hold them deeply accountable when they fail to represent them.

We give them the confidence that their voice matters. That their vote matters in Olympia.

We deal with facts to counter the wild emotional anecdotes. We demonstrate how legislation and other actions will impair our basic human right to live, and how the ideals and proposals of the wealthy elite will adversely impact women, minorities, elderly, poor, LGBTQ, and others and their basic human right to defend their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

The Washington Civil Rights Association is currently a C-corporation and has applied to the IRS for 501-C4 (non-profit) status.

In the future our foundation will educate Washington voters to inform them of their basic human rights, how to defend them, and how to effectively advocate for them in the political process. We shine the light on the secret machinations of politicians and groups working to undermine citizen’s rights. We work with researchers and subject-matter experts to develop and promote evidence-based standards and programs to prevent suicides, properly address mental health, reduce stigma and discrimination, and create/deliver tested safety programs for adults and children. We also gather experts to participate in online and in-person community roundtables to discuss creative and innovative strategies to defend our rights.

We are forming a Political Action Committee (PAC) that will endorse and with a broad network of volunteers, assist the campaigns and initiatives that are aligned with our cause.

If you’d like to get involved, contact us right away. As a small all-volunteer organization, we’re always looking for smart, talented, people who can help us activate many more firearms owners in Washington!
